What is Embodied Voice Circle

Your voice is a mirror of self. It is the vibrational signature of your body and mind.

Many of us carry shame and judgment around our vocal expression, or around being heard. We were perhaps told we were too loud, too quiet, too emotional, too little, too much. Many of us have also felt misunderstood, or unheard. These past experiences can hinder our natural ability to express freely.

This circle is a space to shift old habits and patterns around the way we make sound and perceive sound (listen). Through a series of guided explorations, we expand our awareness of how the voice shapes and reflects the mind and body—how we listen, perceive, and feel.

What we do in voice circle

The practices weave together meditation, playful exploration, body awareness, and intuitive expression. Most activities focus on the body, sounding beyond words, self-awareness, and deep listening. Activities include:

  • Exploring how we experience our voice as an instrument within the body

  • Expanding awareness through sound

  • Gentle explorations of how we express with others, and are heard by others

  • Letting the uneasiness around expression arise, and holding it lovingly together

  • Playing and being silly, like a child!

This is for you if...

  • You feel called to explore your voice, but something holds you back

  • You've been told you're too loud, too quiet, too much, or not enough

  • You want to feel more at home in your body and your sound

  • You long to express yourself more freely, without fear of judgment

  • You want to deepen your listening—to yourself and to others

  • You're drawn to playful, embodied practices rather than performance or technique

  • You're ready to meet your voice with curiosity and compassion, wherever it is right now

About Hsi-Yin

I am an ethereal vocalist and a certified sound healing practitioner. I devote my heart to the world of frequency.

As a kid, I was trained in classical singing. I dreamed of becoming a singer, but was discouraged by my parents. Since then, I've been disconnected from my creative self and my voice. Years of disconnection led to chronic anxiety, fear of being heard, and deep shame around expression.

Since embarking on a journey of self-exploration, sound healing, and awareness practice, I am finding my way back to my true frequency. And that true frequency feels lighter, looser, more peaceful, more at ease.

There is so much magic in sound, and your voice holds more potential than you might think. Let's explore together!
